Artist statement

A woman in protective gloves and headphones is tattooing a person's arm with a tattoo machine.

What interests me most is the relationship between image and body.

A form can move across the skin, create presence and become part of the person who wears it. Rather than approaching a piece through narrative, I focus on composition, balance and the interaction between dark and open areas.

Motifs such as dragons or octopuses appear throughout my work because of their energy and ability to transform with the body. Their forms allow me to explore movement, scale and visual rhythm in a way that feels both dynamic and natural.

Whether working on skin or paper, I am drawn to images that feel alive, creating tension and depth while maintaining a sense of balance.
